Feldenkrais Functional Integration Lessons
All ages
60-minute / 90-minute first time with consult.
Functional Integration is a gentle, hands-on, individual lesson, a holistic approach where the intention is recognizing and expanding upon the person’s possibilities.
We will work together towards your desired goal, intention, and/or need through specifically curated lessons. An individual’s safety and comfort are the top priority which determines the flow and direction of the lesson. Typically lessons are with the student lying down on a low table and always fully clothed. However, lessons can encompass a variety of options to suit the student’s needs and comfort from verbally guided (no touch), to sessions held while in sitting, standing, walking or in the action of the student’s sport, hobby or daily task.
The combination of individual Functional Integration and group Awareness Through Movement lessons enhance each other however, are not required to be paired.
“I believe that learning is the most important thing for a human being. Learning should be a pleasant, marvelous experience”

“My name is Larry and I am a stroke survivor. I suffered an embolic stroke 2 years ago. My stroke affected the right side of my body such that I have limited mobility in my right leg, torso and right arm. Jessica realized the potential the Feldenkrais Method could provide me in my recovery.
“For over a year Jessica has worked with me weekly. Jessica is a warm, kind, wonderful person with a very caring and empathetic nature. When she works with me she is focused about what the goal is. There are no distractions. She empowers me to challenge myself by providing me with direct and specific instructions to perform a movement. She helps me understand how the parts and pieces of my body work to form a whole. Jessica brings to my attention the connection between my brain and my body. One doesn’t function without the other.
“My stroke affected the connections between my brain and my body. I strongly believe that I can heal my body if I can create new connections in my brain that were lost because of my stroke. I am stronger physically and mentally after one year of working with Jessica. My recovery journey continues. I believe strongly that Jessica working with me is part of the reason I continue to improve.”
